Introduction

My name is Clément MARTIN, I am nineteen and I live in Poitiers, France. I am a tennis lover, all my family members play tennis. I grew up in the tennis world since I was a young child. The first time I played tennis I was 5 years old. I have a dream - to discover and closly experience my favorite country which is the USA. I really love this country. Moreover I would like to study, discover a new way of life and new culture. If I could play tennis and study in the US college system, I would give all my energy and work really hard everyday. I love playing tennis with my friends, teammates and spend a lot of time with them. I also love the opportunity to be part of a team, I have a strong team spirit.

What makes you different?

I love tennis and working hard. Working hard is not a problem for me. Quite the opposite, it's a pleasure and a state of well being. As soon as I get involved in a project, I give myself all opportunities and means to succeed. I will show to all, who gives me a chance to express myself in the sport I love as well as studies, that I am willing to push my limits. I also know how to learn from my mistakes, analyze and have a critical thinking about my game and myself. For me it is always Team first. I consider my teammates as friends and not as opponents.

Why do you want to play in the U.S college system?

I want to play in the US college system because in America you can play the sport you love, which is tennis for me, and getting a degree at the same time. Compared to my country, in America playing and competing for the school is as important as studying, which is different in the French system. I also want to discover other tennis styles, new players and have many new experiences.

Academic objectives

I want to get my degree in Management and Marketing because I have studied Marketing and Management for 4 years.

Athletic and professional Objectives

Athletics : I would like to reach the highest level of tennis possible. I wan to learn from my tennis coach all the tips he/she has in order for me to improve my skills.

Professional : I would like to become a manager in a sports brand. In the future, I want to open my own sports shop and create my own brand (lifestyle and sportswear)
